Calling All Poets!

Gabriel's Horn, my publisher, has put out an anthology of new poetry in traditional forms since 2019. They are currently accepting submissions for the next two editions, whose themes will be MUSIC and FAITH, in addition to seeking the featured poet for each.

What are traditional forms? Typically this would mean the classics--villanelles, haiku, sonnets, and such. But there are a great variety of forms, which can be found all over the internet. One site would be Writer's Digest's page on poetry forms, which lists 168 forms. What the anthology seeks is poetry that follows form, rhythm, meter, some layout, plan, or rhyming structure.

We've been very happy with our first four editions, whose themes have been JOY, NATURE, LOVE, and LAUGHTER, featuring Thomas R. Smith, Dan Blum, Timothy Young, Jennifer Ann F. Messing, and Tekkan.

We have enjoyed featuring all our poets both at in-person and online events in which they read their poetry and produce videos featuring some of the poems from the collections.

If you love poetry, we invite you to submit your poetry on the topics of MUSIC and FAITH. You can find details at Gabriel's Horn or at our event on Facebook. The deadline is October 31, contrary to what the 'event' says.
